Clickimin Loch Visitor Information Guide

Clickimin is a loch and broch on the south outskirts of Lerwick in the care of the Department of the Environment and, with the offiicial guide, possibly the most easily understood of all Shetland‘s ancient relics.

The broch was first occupied in the Bronze Age (700 500 B.C.) fortified during the Iron Age (500 300 B.C.) and occupied in the later Iron Age, it vies with Jarlshof in impressiveness.
